Eddie Fines is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Elk Grove, CA who attends Elk Grove. Compact build with room to fill out. Ran a 8.01 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed short steps with athletic actions working to and through the ball in the infield. Showed low out front funnels with clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 68 MPH across the infield. Also worked out in the outfield. Flashed deliberate footwork working to and through the ball. Fields to the side of the baseball with confident glove actions and clean transfers into throws with accurate carry to the bases topping out at 68 MPH from the outfield. Left handed hitter. Employs an upright slightly open stance with a high hand and back elbow set up. Flashed a rotational pull side approach looking to drive line drives through the pull side. Showed a direct handpath to the baseball creating consistent line drives. Will add power with added strength and maturity. Excellent student.
