Gino Grob is a 2023 LHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from McSherrystown, PA who attends Connections Academy. Long lean classic pitchers build with room to add physicality and solid athleticism. Primary position LHP, working from the middle of the rubber and from the stretch position only. Starts with his hands below the belt and raises them to the belly into hand break. Full arm path in the back leading to an over the top slot, working downhill to release. Strides a bit crossbody but still gets through the ball. Good front side direction and generates energy from his glove side to build core rotation. Three pitch mix repertoire and blends them nicely as he fills up the strike zone. FB with low spin traits in the low-to-mid 70's with some sinking action. Bigger CB with vertical depth in the low-60's and emerging tightness. CH was his best offering this outing with good deception and fade to the arm side. Has a feel for what he's doing on the mound. Outstanding student.
