Fernando X. Roque is a 2026 SS/3B, MIF, OF with a 5-1 92 lb. frame from Weehawken, NJ who attends Weehawken. Recorded a 8.43 second sixty yard dash time. Small frame and slender build with plenty of physical development still remaining. Primary shortstop with quick feet and a solid mechanical base to build off of. Has a understanding of the footwork needed for the position, has limited range at present due to his size. Stiffer hands, still developing feel for the glove, longer arm action and transfer. Limited by his strength right now but will continue to improve as he grows and develops. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a high hand and low back elbow set. Rotational swing with a flat bat path through the zone, tends to bar his arms at the start of the swing. Limited quickness at present, showed a middle to pull side approach, will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Wrist/hand strength will go a long way in helping him handle the barrel. Excellent student. His work ethic and drive will serve him well.
