Jose Luis Diaz Bermudez is a 2020 1B/RHP with a 6-1 213 lb. frame from Salinas, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.79 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with broad shoulders and some present physicality. Primary first baseman who bends at the waist and releases with a longer arm stroke. Deliberate actions and has a three-quarters arm slot. Soft carry to the bag with currently developing arm strength. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short arm circle and fields his position well. Online delivery and changeup mimics the fastball nicely. Threw strikes and mixed in the changeup enough to be effective. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Upper half dominant swing with a spread stance and uphill swing path. Has some strength and carry off the barrel. Good student.
