George Evangelopoulos is a 2021 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Palos Heights, IL who attends Amos Alonzo Stagg HS. Tall frame with a lean athletic build. Ran a 7.50 sixty. Left handed pitcher. Uses a over the head wind up with a big rocker step into a belt high leg lift. Falls off slightly towards third base during delivery. Displayed a fastball with good downward angle and some late life. Showed the ability to throw the pitch for a strike on both sides of the plate while also topping out at 81 miles per hour. Showed a solid breaking ball that had good spin with a two-eight shape. Threw the breaking ball with power and created a lot of swings and misses while topping out at 72 miles per hour with the pitch. Mixed in a polished change up from a slightly lower arm angle at 71 miles per hour. Created a lot of swing and miss throughout his entire outing. Left handed hitter. Utilizes a upright stance with high hands and a high back elbow. Employs a rotational pull side approach with some present bat speed. Also displayed some impressive pull side power during batting practice. Excellent Student.
