Owen Rice is a 2021 LHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from East Troy, WI who attends East Troy. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean an projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Lefthanded pitcher, high leg lift at start of delivery with a hip turn at top of balance point; long and loose arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Lands slightly closed and works across but creates extension out front, fastball topped out at 82 mph and fills the zone, creates some deception on the mound. Gets inconsistent with release point at times. Can add and subtract velocity to curveball to change the shape, occasional sweeping action at higher end of velocity range. Shows pitchability and projects nicely moving forward. Very good student.
