Bryce Zicaro is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Wiregrass Ranch. Large, broad shouldered build with present strength throughout frame. Ran an 8.02 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, shows athleticism on the bump, short side step leading into a leg lift up past belt; gathers at balance point and drives well down the mound. Short and quick arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point; generates short running life to fastball which topped out at 77 mph, effort at release but worked around the zone well. Curveball shows 1-7 shape with depth and comfort landing the pitch up to 61 mph. Ball comes out of hand well at first base as well, up to 79 mph across the infield, shorter steps off the bag, accurate to the intended bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow base and a high back elbow in the box; utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing at the plate. Loads hands back at start of swing, swings with intent and shows juice off the barrel when squared. Keeps hands inside the ball and can generate more extension to path to unlock additional strength, worked to all fields, occasionally gets downward with path, best when on a linear plane. Very good student.
