Reo Sakaguchi is a 2019 1B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Osaka, OS who attends Osaka-Gakugei HS. Medium build with good lower half strength. Left handed hitter, very high hand start, hits the ball out front with an early front side, uncoils well and can drive the ball with some lift to the pull side, Ichiro-style swing approach, has some hand quickness and bat speed and can get the ball to jump. 7.81 runner, deliberate step by step fundamental actions at first base. Also pitched, had a very quick 6-pitch inning throwing all strikes, fastball topped out at 70 mph. Bat is his tool.
