William Kinnes is a 2021 C/MIF, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Charlton, MA who attends Marianapolis Prep. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, lower slot on throws with an extended release, longer stride coming out of crouch. Fields the ball out front in the infield with a wide base and bent knees, extra step moving into release, shorter arm action on throws across, carry will continue to develop. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open and spread stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger and swings with intent. Linear swing path through the zone and gets the barrel to the ball, occasionally gets to front side early. Worked to the middle of the field with contact, consistent barrel, can shorten lower half set up for more consistent timing. Good student.
