Peyton Peterson is a 2020 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Seven Lakes. Strong catcher's build with good physical maturity. Has well coached and sound fundamentals behind the plate defensively, repeats his shifting and throwing mechanics, makes accurate throws with some carry, can improve his athletic explosiveness and quickness. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a simple and well timed load, short high contact swing with middle of the field line drive contact. Also pitched, quick side step delivery, rotational upper half with a hesitation at the top. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Likes throwing his curveball and landed it consistently for strikes, threw two quick and efficient innings. Fundamentally sound player in all aspects of the game. Outstanding student.
