Ryan Schneider is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 6-1 135 lb. frame from Fond Du Lac, WI who attends Fond Du Lac. Medium frame with longer limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side with slight coil at gather. Worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Deep arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball generated downhill plane with run to arm side in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with good spin and solid depth. Tends to slow arm slightly with offering, but displayed best depth when maintaining arm speed at finish. Also flashed a slider offering with 9/4 shape in the low 70's. Showed the willingness and feel for breaking ball to land for strikes in both positive and negative counts. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball well and worked through exchange efficiently. Loose arm circle and released from a high three-quarters slot. Displayed developing accuracy across the infield topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and toe tap trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Clean hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed good balance throughout while employing a mid-field approach. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
