Mason McElroy is a 2020 C/1B, OF with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Oak Hall. Large and thinner frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.63 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the plate with sure receiving skills out front, longer transfer with full arm action, development still necessary in the lower half, up to 66 mph behind the plate, 2.29 second best pop time. Secondary first baseman, showed a compact arm with accuracy across, some twitch to actions, body projects at position. Right-handed hitter, starts balanced with a high hand set, small and controlled leg kick, hands work well into swing, creates separation and looks to elevate to pull, more pop to come.
