Dominic Castellano is a 2021 LHP/ with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit HS. Lean, athletic build with a younger frame and plenty of room to fill out. Primary lefthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Short side step with a leg lift above the belt. Hides the ball and creates deception with a crossfire landing leg. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot and has some length to the arm action. Good feel for working his fastball to both sides of the plate. Topped out at 85 mph and generates a good amount of angle and downward life on the fastball. Breaking ball has good shape and depth to it and got ugly swings when buried. Very advanced changeup with good sinking action and a weapon against righthanded hitters. Worked at the knees almost exclusively with the fastball. Three pitches for strikes and a good amount of deception. Good student.
