John Forneris is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Minooka, IL who attends Minooka Community. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.16 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch, lengthy offline arm stroke through the back, creates angles from lower 3/4 slot, fastball worked 76-81 mph with good arm side life, showed sweeping slider that he did a good job of breaking across the zone, threw a fair amount of strikes with both pitches. Hits from even-based stance with upright posture, quickness to hands, loads well into back hip but doesn't fully drive out of it, showed ability to get the ball into the air with backspin, showed power up pull side gap. Showed arm strength up to 82 mph from secondary position in the outfield. Named to 2018 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, good student.
