Gehrig Butz is a 2021 SS/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends Heritage HS. Medium athletic build. 7.53 runner, has good footwork in the infield and gets behind the ball, tends to bend at his waist to field the ball, makes plays and has an accurate arm, also plays the outfield and threw a runner out at the plate with a perfect throw. Right handed hitter, has a big leg lift and kick load that creates timing variables, shows good bat speed when his foot is on time and he's balanced, short line drive swing with pull to middle of the field contact, has potential with the bat. Good student.
