Edgar Aviles is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends SLAM. Compact build with present athleticism. Ran a 8.30 second sixty-yard dash. Showed patient actions with confident glove actions in the infield. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot with developing arm strength and good accuracy topping out at 65 miles per hour across the infield. Displayed the ability to be accurate from multiple arm slots in the infield as well. Right handed hitter. Utilizes an open upright stance with a high hand and back elbow set up. Uses a toe tap trigger to begin weight shift. Employs a rotational line drive up the middle to pull side approach with developing bat speed. Showed quick hands and good barrel control creating consistent contact during batting practice. Displayed the ability to get the barrel head out with some whippy actions.
