Carter Hines is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Arcadia, OK who attends Edmond North HS. Big and strong athletic build. Slow paced leg raise with late acceleration to the plate, over the top arm slot, lays his arm back deep behind his body, can leave his arm behind during his acceleration forward to release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets big tailing action at times. Gets between a curveball and a slider depending on whether his arm is on time or not, flashed a nice change up he could throw more often. Has arm strength and athleticism but will need to make delivery adjustments in order to get his arm on time and take advantage of his talent. 7.22 runner with nice athletic actions and soft hands at first base, quick feet. Left handed hitter, hits from an open narrow stance with a big move into contact, swings hard and creates bat speed with plenty of power potential, uses lower half well, potential two-way prospect. Good student.
