Idris Thomas is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-4 164 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Davenport West. He has a tall frame with a lean build and a high waist and is projectable. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that takes his knee just above the belt in his leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He uses dip and drive back leg mechanics and has a loose, whippy arm. He has a long arm action and fires from a low 3/4 slot. His arm is quick and he has a rotational finish on his delivery. He is able to generate nice run on his fastball. His curveball has 11-5 shape and good bite that he was able to throw for strikes. Secondary third baseman that has a low effort process and does a nice job fielding the ball cleanly. He throws with the same arm action as he does on the mound and could add velocity by utilizing his lower half more. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base with low hands and a low back elbow. He uses a small lift and replace trigger for timing and showed quickness in the hands. He has a line drive approach and made his best contact when he was on time and hitting the ball out in front of the plate.
