Angad Takhar is a 2020 OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fairfield, CA who attends Angelo Rodriguez High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields it to side and works into a shorter arm action with a tight release, over-the-top release point, overall footwork will continue to develop, quick transfer and shows accuracy to throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with an open stance. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate, gets to front side early with weight shift but shows looseness to hands and creates extension out front. Tight hands and stays simple with swing, repeats mechanics and shows occasional lift to path, best when working on a linear plane. Very good student.
