Tyler Jacona is a 2024 C/3B, IF, OF with a 5-7 169 lb. frame from Milton, DE who attends Cape Henlopen. Medium, compact frame with some present lower half strength and plenty of time to fill out. Primary catcher with fundamentally sound catch-and-throw skill set; receives from a low, slightly side-saddled stance with softness to his hands and efficient mid-line transfers. Displays clean footwork out of the crouch, gaining ground towards his target with good direction. Quick, short arm action with developing arm speed and strength. Will continue to improve with minor refinements to his skill set and additional strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Hands driven swing with slightly upward and elongated swing path, developing bat-to-ball skills and occasional impact to the pull-side. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments, additional strength and maturity. Good Student.
