Austin Crawford is a 2024 2B/SS with a 5-3 105 lb. frame from Lawrence, KS who attends Lawrence Free State. Compact frame with a lean build. Primary second baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with a loose arm circle. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing uphill carry to the bag topping at 63 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, knee knocking stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays balanced throughout swing with rotational lower half actions. Looser hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed some feel for the barrel while employing a mid field approach. Generated best contact when throwing hands to baseball and created contact out front. Good student.
