Brian Vesta is a 2022 SS/RHP/C with a 6-1 135 lb. frame from Bartlett, IL who attends South Elgin. Large, square shouldered build with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room too fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.41 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, takes short steps moving to either side and shows coordination on the charge, fields the ball out front with a wide base, overall footwork will continue to refine, extended arm slot at release with accuracy to first base, arm strength and carry will develop on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a tall and open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; gets closed moving into contact with leg lift trigger. Full swing path through the zone and hits the ball out front while working on a linear plane. Creates occasional leverage and shows a subtle weight shift through lower half, works the middle and opposite field, occasionally opens front side early in swing. Very good student.
