James (Junior) Taylor III is a 2022 OF/RHP, UT with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Alpine, CA who attends Granite Hills. Recorded a 7.25 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame and strong build. Primary outfielder with a passive approach, waits back on it and fields it on the back foot. Long arm action and gather with a high release. Low throws with solid carry at 82 mph, one hoppers to the bag. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and even hand set. Small leg lift trigger, lunges forward at times, could sit on the back side longer. Present hand and bat speed, gap to gap approach with a level path. Good rhythm to the swing, hits inside the ball at times, impacts it to the pull side. Great student. Named to the 2021 California Workout Camp Session 1 Top Prospect List.
