2021 March Northern CA Workout Camp Sunday
Kai Price is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-11 188 lb. frame from Santa Cruz, CA who attends St. Francis Central Coast Catholic. Medium frame with some physicality to his build at present. Ran a 7.26 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, has a slower-paced and deliberate delivery to hand separation but explodes through release with a longer arm stroke that shows excellent present arm speed through a low three-quarters slot generating hard running life to the fastball. Throws the breaking ball firm and gets very good spin and bite to the pitch with some differing shape between vertical and 11-to-5. Also shows feel for a solid changeup as a third offering. Also worked out in the outfield, attacks the ball hard and carries momentum well with a very good arm producing low and accurate bullets to bags. Right-handed hitter, works explosively to impact with obvious strength; stays level through the zone and can struggle with the barrel at times but has multiple projectable components.
