Easton Swofford is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Bee Branch, AR who attends South Side Bee Branch. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and shows softness to hands, accelerates well to and through the ball, quick arm and consistently on top with solid carry across the diamond, accurate throws, nice actions overall. Short and quick steps to the ball in the outfield, simple mechanics and repeats well, strong arm with carry and accuracy to the intended base. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a balanced set up and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing. Consistent line drive contact and shows a natural feel for the barrel, stays compact through the zone with quickness to his hands. Works to all parts of the field with intent, incorporates hips and lower half nicely, ball comes off well when squared. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
