Ruben Pacheco is a 2022 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-4 115 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Mccollum HS. Small frame with a skinny build and room to add in the future. Ran a 7.10 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Comes to get the ball well and can read the ball off the bat. Plays low through the ball with athletic movements. Developing arm strength that should improve with size. Topping out at 76 miles per hour in workouts. Righthanded hitter with a bent stance and a coil load for timing. Shows the ability to hit behind the ball with a short line drive path. Consistent in the box and able to make consistent solid contact. Righthanded pitcher with some drop and drive actions down the mound. Compact arm action and stays in line to the plate. Relatively straight fastball topping out at 70 miles per hour. Also flashed a short slider with some depth. Lands both pitches for strikes.
