Lucas Valencia is a 2025 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 138 lb. frame from West Palm Beach, FL who attends Palm Beach Gardens. Medium, young frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.92 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, works through the ball well and takes good angles on approach, loose arm and on line release, projects nicely with added physical strength. Young actions at first base, wide base fielding the ball, simple approach, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, fluid delivery, smooth side step into a leg lift to belt; creates some cross-fire across body at release with a lower three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, running life to the pitch from release, worked arm side and showed 1-7 shape to breaking ball with sweeping finish. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Upper body dominant swing, handsy swing and stays short to the ball with swing path. Gets the barrel to the ball well and worked all fields, flashed lift to swing path, contact oriented approach, bat speed will continue to develop. Excellent student.
