Leegenier Borrero is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-0 215 lb. frame from Ponce, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Taller and strong with a thick build and sturdy base. A primary pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a rhythmic leg lift and slight hip turn that creates a coil that hold to foot strike. On time with his arm, and an easy arm action and 3/4 release. Heavy arm side run on the fastball and controls the zone well and has some angle to the pitch. The change up is a weapon as he replicates the pitch and the 11/5 shaped curveball is a solid third offering. Knows how to pitch and forces early contact.
