Thomas Hudson is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Ravenscroft. Long build with present strength and square shoulders. Ran a 8.80 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher. Stretch only. Employs a belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound, landing slightly closed and finishing online with the plate creating cross fire actions and some deception to the hitter. Showed a stiffer compact arm action in the back going to a high three-quarter arm slot at release. Flashed a fastball with good control to both sides of the plate up to 73 MPH complemented with a 11/5 sweeping curveball at 64 MPH and a fading changeup at 67 MPH creating some swing and miss. Also worked out at first base. Displayed low out front funnels with confident glove actions. Showed aggressive actions working to and through the baseball. Flashed quicker exchanges into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 71 MPH across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a short leg lift trigger. Flashed a line drive plane through the zone with good bat speed creating consistent solid line drives throughout batting practice. Displayed the ability to drive the baseball to the opposite field as well with good barrel control. Great student.
