Maximus Vecchiet is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Dripping Springs. Long, lanky frame with a high waist and plenty of room to add strength. Primary shortstop with fluid actions in the infield, soft hands and smooth glove-to-hand transfers while recording throws up to 82 miles per hour across the diamond. Shows ability to throw from all necessary arm angles, shorter arm action and good lateral range. Secondary right-handed pitcher; fairly simple operation with slight hip turn leg lift into balance and an elongated stride out to foot strike. Strike thrower that works from a true 3/4 's slot with heavy sinking life to the fastball in 78-83 miles per hour range. Shows feel for full mix, flashing sharp two-plane curveball with above average depth and tilt for strikes. Frame projects for more velocity as he matures with good feel for current arsenal and ability to command the strike zone. Right-hand hitter, hits from a crouched stance with high back elbow and simple leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills, developing feel for the barrel and loud impact to the pull-side when he gets extended. Excellent Student.
