John Tyler Mlnarik is a 2024 3B/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-0 95 lb. frame from Santa Clara, CA. Compact frame with a lean build. Primary third baseman with smooth paced footwork while ranging for and rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with looser actions. Released from a three-quarters slot created some carry to the bag at 55 mph. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing aggressive footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels cleanly and worked to the bag with a crow hop. Released from a three-quarters slot topping at 59 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Loose hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to work the ball to the middle of the field between the gaps. Will continue to develop pop with added strength. Also pitched utilizing a quick side step to smaller leg lift. Lands in line with the plate on front side. Full arm circle at take back and released from a lower three-quarters slot. Flashed some feel for the fastball and primarily looked to locate to the bottom quadrants of the zone int he mid to upper 50's, topped at 59 mph.
