Sam Tillman is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Stockton, CA who attends Lincoln. Large, physical frame with advanced strength and flexibility; able to utilize the frame and tools well. Strength came out consistently in the event. Behind the plate worked from the side with a clean transition and strong-arm for the position. During games the catching skills were advanced with strong flexibility, receiving, and blocking skills. The soft glove was one of the standouts and matched with his arm strength that was able to get runners trying to take bases in the games. Offensively it's a balanced stance with a high back elbow and slightly opened stance. Separated well allowing the barrel to get on plane deep and drives through the baseball. Drove balls through the gaps and there's more power available on the frame. Overall skills to hit and catch at the next level. Strong student. One of the top overall performers at the event with some of the best metrics as well.
