Isaiah Martinez is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake HS. Recorded an 8.41 second 60-yard dash time. Well-proportioned frame with medium length and some room for projection to fill out. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a tall delivery and hands start high. Hands meet his leg kick and gets some late life on his fastball that topped out at 80 mph. High three-quarters arm slot and starts in a compact and explosive position. Good drive off the back leg with a whippy arm stroke. Repeats his actions well and mixed in a curveball too. Secondary outfielder who fields off to the side and has higher throws; secondary first baseman who rounds the ball with a lower slot at release and some accuracy. Lefthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Slightly open stance with some strength at impact. Whips the barrel head nicely with some feel for contact out in front. Good student.
