Omar Monreal is a 2022 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Salpointe Catholic. Medium athletic build with some present strength and plenty of time and room for more. Left handed hitter, hits from an even base with a leg lift trigger, uses his lower half very well to generate bat speed, has a smooth and easy swing with bat speed, ball comes off the barrel very well for a freshman, can drive the gaps, has hitting tools to develop. 7.74 runner, moves to the ball well in the infield, feet work well, still developing confidence in his glove and footwork, also plays the outfield but future is as a corner infielder. Took a turn on the mound, high leg lift delivery with an extended arm action and a low 3/4's arm slot, upper half rotational delivery. Mid-70's fastball, mostly straight. Tends to slow his arm on his off speed pitches, has some life on his curveball and change up. Bat is his tool. Very good student.
