Drew Markley is a 2021 3B/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Hastings, MI who attends Hastings HS. Medium build, skinny and projectable frame with plenty of room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.44 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, controls body well into gather, clean exchange from glove to hand, good arm slot releasing ball online and on target with some carry and average arm strength, topped out at 76 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, short stride, clean arm action up to a high ¾ slot, arm works pretty well, could utilize lower half more into delivery, developing arm speed and arm strength, should incorporate some tempo to delivery for added velocity with lots of time to improve. Lefthanded hitter, shift into contact, inside hand path with a varying bat path, showed ability to hit to all fields, needs to get stronger for added bat speed and pop off of the barrel. Good student.
