Jackson Philpot is a 2021 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Hilton Head Island, SC who attends Hilton Head. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.18 seconds. Hits from wide, even-based stance with high back elbow, deeper load with smaller leg lift, solid bat speed through the zone on linear plane, shows whole-field approach, solid timing skills. Primary catcher, good set with balance and flex, athleticism evident in footwork out of crouch, stays balanced and gets rid of the ball on time, clocked up to 77 mph. Also threw 77 mph across the infield. Righthanded pitcher, quick pace with loose arm, slight crossfire stride, high three quarters slot, fastball worked 74-77 mph with arm side life, showed curveball with 11/5 shape and some depth. Good student.
