Matt Flood is a 2021 OF/C with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Islip, NY who attends Islip. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.07 seconds. Hits from slightly open and staggered stance, strides closed off, smoothness to stroke, hands take more inside-out path with intent to hit the ball the other way, linear plane, good contact skills. Primary outfielder, hips work well through fielding and crow hop, shows solid balance, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Also took reps behind the plate, very short footwork, pops-turns-throws, quickness to lower half, clocked up to 67 mph, good transfer skills. Very good student.
