Marcos Contreras is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Jurupa Hills. Medium frame with compact, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, compact arm stroke through the back that stays inline, spine tilt to get arm up to high three quarters slot, gets off backside well, fastball worked 81-86 mph with impressive command to either side of the plate, showed curveball with big-bending depth, also flashed changeup with good tumble. Pounded the zone and dominated. Hits from even-based stance, simple approach, easy loose swing, creates steeper entry at times, consistent line drive contact with good timing. Took defensive reps in the outfield, clean fundamentals, comes through the ball well, releases quickly with good arm strength, clocked up to 86 mph.
