Jose Gonzalez is a 2021 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Ridge. Strong and physical build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Primary 1B that showcased solid footwork around the bag on regular ground balls and on the double play pivot. His throws across the diamond topped out at 79 mph. On the offensive side of the ball he hits out of a closed stance and uses a simple stride. Showed some pull side juice during his round of BP. On the mound his FB sat 76-79 mph and was complimented by a deep 12/6 CB at 67 mph. Excellent student.
