Briggs Loveland is a 2021 SS/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Burleson, TX who attends Burleson. Lean and athletic frame with plenty of room to fill. Recorded a 7.21 second 60-yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, worked out in the infield with good range and footwork, gets around the ball well, late to receiving at times but transfers well, gets going to the bag with a deliberate release and clocked up to 75 mph across. Left-handed hitter, sets up tall and slightly open with high hands and a high back elbow, short load with a small leg lift trigger, sits on the backside with some lift to the swing plane, developing bat speed with a middle of the field approach and will improve contact results with added strength and extension through contact. Very good student.
