Matthew Baur is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Concord, CA who attends De La Salle. Young frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.31 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes a timid approach to the ball as he stays behind it well and funnels it cleanly; stays on line with his release and produces low and accurate throws to the bag. Also pitches, is loose and athletic with his delivery showing ease and comfortability working in the zone; works from an over the top release with a fairly quick arm and generates some ride to the fastball while commanding a pair of projectable off-speed offerings. Lefthanded hitter, works short to the ball with very quick hands using a contact approach; produces line drives to the middle and back side parts of the field while finding the barrel consistently and firing his hips well through contact to create some jump off impact. Outstanding student.
