Justin Lafortune is a 2022 C/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Folsom, CA who attends Vista Del Lago. Medium build with plenty of room to fill out as he develops. Primary catcher, receives out in front and sets up in a conventional crouch. Shows some accuracy on his throws down to the second base bag with a smooth transfer. Posted a 2.25 second pop time. In the infield, glove works well to both sides and he has a solid feel for the position. Funnels well and fields out in front. At the plate, uses a narrow and slightly open stance with a toe tap to leg kick trigger. Heavy uphill plane with consistent high launch angle. Hands work direct to the baseball and he showcases a plus feel for the barrel.
