Taylor Hamada is a 2019 1B/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from COLLEGE PLACE, WA who attends Walla Walla HS. Tall and lean athletic build, long arms and legs. Right handed hitter, loads deep with a wrapped barrel start, aggressive in attacking the ball and creates some barrel whip through the zone, ball comes off the barrel well when squared, has the potential to keep improving with additional strength. 7.75 runner, moves well side to side defensively, shows athleticism and balance, very low throwing slot. Also pitched, left handed thrower, severe cross body delivery, lands 16-18" closed with his lead leg, works around his core from a low 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, showed the ability to get to his glove side. Slider was a solid pitch with sharp biting action, stayed down in the zone with both pitches. Best stuff was at the lower arm slots. Good student.
