Jacob Callaway is a 2019 C/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Brighton, CO who attends Holy Family Catholic. Compact frame with beginnings of strength. Primary catcher with with balanced stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground while working out of crouch with quick footwork. Clean glove circle and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 75 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.09. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing clean footwork while moving through the baseball. Hands worked well while funneling and flashed fluid action through exchange. Created accurate carry across the infield topping at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a wide, balanced stance and high back elbow set. Compact, direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed and strength through the zone as well. Currently possesses the balance and barrel control to work to all fields with ease.
