Joshua Selitto is a 2019 1B with a 6-0 250 lb. frame from Oakland Gardens, NY who attends Benjamin N Cardozo High School. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength throughout frame. Ran a 5.91 40-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, developing footwork coming off the bag, high gather into a short arm action, works to a higher slot on throws with a tight release, accurate throws to intended base, arm strength will continue to improve across. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, employs a contact oriented approach in the box. Upper body dominant swing, uses hands well in swing and stays short through the zone and inside the ball. Shows ability to work to all fields, linear path with best contact, can create additional extension out front. Very good student.
