Terrence Rhodes is a 2023 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Henrico. Young athletic square shouldered build. Versatile athlete who looked solid all over the field defensively and on the mound. 7.58 runner, has bounce in his actions in the infield, fields the ball out front with soft hands, long and loose arm action with some carry to his throws from a high 3/4's arm slot, can quicken his release. Showed the same type of arm strength and athleticism in the outfield. Slow paced delivery on the mound with a high 3/4's to over the top release, arm is loose and quick coming through, delivery is simple and repeatable, will occasionally not bend his back enough and not get over and downhill on his pitches. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, plenty more velocity in there, curveball had tight spin and sharpness and is a promising second pitch. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a busy hand load and a leg lift trigger, gets to his front side well, has loose and quick hands and creates bat speed, consistent square middle of the field contact, very good game swings against live pitching. Quality all around athlete who will keep improving and figure out his best position later. Named to the 14U Atlantic Coast Top Prospect List.
