Dylan Nicholson is a 2022 C with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Thurmont, MD who attends Catoctin HS. Dylan is a solidly built athlete who has the frame and muscle structure to continue to advance on the diamond. Behind the plate, Dylan shows consistently sound actions - he has softer hands and is quick to receive and transition. He gains ground well. His arm stroke allows his plus arm strength to get his throws on target quickly. His 2.03 pop time and 71-mph throwing velocity show plus projection. At the plate, Dylan uses a taller stance with a wider base. He is not afraid to swing the bat. He shows consistent whip to his barrel and creates sound lower half torque which produces backspin and allows the ball to carry. Academically, Dylan is a outstanding student.
