Tyler Hargus is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Odenton, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Medium and athletic frame with plenty of projection and room to fill moving forward. Ran a 5.22 second 40 yard dash. Primary catcher, wide base with a tall set, gains short ground into throws, gets taller at release with a developing transfer from glove to hand, average arm strength with some tail to throws, 2.08 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, open stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow, high leg lift trigger, short hand path to the ball remaining short through the hitting zone, could get more out of lower half, gets rotational at times, ball comes off the barrel well, middle to pull contact mostly during batting practice round. Great student.
