Jordan Eskridge is a 2020 C with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Spokane Valley, WA who attends Freeman HS. Medium frame with long limns and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary catcher with a large side set stance while receiving. Gains ground while working out of crouched and works through exchange with lower, loose transfers. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing on line carry to the bag topping at 70 miles per hour. Upright, slightly open stance with a simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side throughout with rotational lower half actions to contact. Loose, extended path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap showing developing feel for the barrel. Also pitched utilizing a high leg lift with a compact, over top arm slot. Fastball flashed some downward angle through the zone in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 72 miles per hour. Curvbeall 10/5 shape with loose spin and some depth in the mid 50's. Consistently located to the bottom of the strike zone and challenged hitters. Very good student as well.
