Andrew Rivera is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria East. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight tall stance with a simple leg lift trigger, rotational lower half drives his swing, loose hands, tends to get the barrel turned a bit early with his rotational front side, mid field to pull side approach, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. 7.74 runner, has some lateral mobility with good lower half balance that creates soft hands, makes very accurate throws from all arm angles, sound overall actions. Also pitched, simple side step delivery with a high front side over the rubber, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and easy coming through. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, throws strikes to both sides of the plate with his fastball. Also pounded the zone with a slurve type sweeping breaking ball and did a good job mixing his pitches. Very good student.
